Photo Restoration Services for Old, Faded & Damaged Photos
Scan or photograph the print, even if it is cracked, water-stained or faded to pale yellow. Our restorers rebuild missing areas, remove scratches and mold spots, recover lost contrast and, if you like, add natural color. Every repair is painted by hand in Photoshop. Restoration starts at $20 per image.
- Tears, creases and cracks rebuilt
- Stains, spots and mold removed
- Faded contrast and detail recovered
- Optional colorizing of black and white
What Does Photo Restoration Involve?
Restoration repairs physical damage that time has done to a printed photograph. A restorer works on a high-resolution scan, cloning and painting new detail into cracks, missing corners and stains, then rebalances tone so faces, clothing and backgrounds read clearly again. The original print stays with you; only the digital copy is restored.
- Work starts from your scan or phone photo
- Original character and grain kept
- Print-ready files at the size you need

Photo Restoration FAQs
What is a photo restoration service?
A photo restoration service repairs damaged or faded photographs digitally. Restorers work from a scan of your print and rebuild tears, cracks and missing corners, remove stains, scratches and mold spots, and recover lost contrast. The result is a clean digital file you can reprint, share or archive.
How much does photo restoration cost?
Photo restoration starts at $20 per image for light damage, $30 for visible tears and stains, $40 for heavy damage and $50 for severe reconstruction or full colorizing. We review your scan first and email an exact price, and you pay only after agreeing to it.
Do I need to mail you my original photo?
No. Your original never leaves your hands. Scan it at 600 dpi or higher, or photograph it flat in soft daylight with a phone, and upload the file. We restore the digital copy, so the print itself is not touched or put at risk.
Can you add color to black and white photos?
Yes. Colorizing is offered as part of restoration or on its own. Restorers paint natural tones for skin, hair, clothing and backgrounds, using period references where possible. Tell us any known colors, such as a uniform or a car, and we follow them.
Can badly damaged areas really be rebuilt?
In most cases, yes. Restorers rebuild missing parts from surrounding detail, symmetry and other photos you can share. If a key area such as a face is mostly gone, we tell you before you pay and explain what result is realistic.
How long does photo restoration take?
Most restorations are delivered 24 hours after payment. Rush restoration takes as little as 6 hours, and an extra charge may apply. Heavily damaged prints or large albums may need longer, and we confirm the date in your quote.
How do I order photo restoration?
Upload your scan through the form on this page, add notes on what matters most, and we email an exact quote. You pay by PayPal, Visa or Mastercard and restoration begins. Every order includes two free revisions and our 100% money-back guarantee.
Send Your Old Photo for a Restoration Quote
